Smart and Functional
This small town garden was looking very grotty when I first visited. The paving was badly installed, dirty and had a severe infestation of weeds. Other than the paving there was nothing of note anywhere in the garden.
This small courtyard cried out for a designers touch. The budget was modest but with a plot this small a lot can be done with a little money and a big bit of imagination.
We used a mix of different sized and textured paving units, and some inexpensive off cuts of artificial turf. The client wanted a seat with a substantial canopy so he could sit out when it was raining.
The before and after photos are testimony to how effective the results are.
